The extraordinary journey of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, which began in 1963 with just 20 regimental schools, has transformed into a vast network of 1,289 Kendriya Vidyalayas, illuminating the nation with the light of exceptional education.

With this vision, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Regional Office Silchar continues its journey of nurturing young minds through meaningful learning experiences and value-based education. It is a privilege to be a part of a system where every contributor is a learner and every day is an opportunity to discover, create and innovate. We look at ourselves as a coterie of learners, where everyone learns including our staff, students and parents. As we attain new milestones and undergo beautiful beginnings, we feel proud to state that KVS RO Silchar has expanded its infrastructure, both physical and digital to provide a conducive and vibrant environment for holistic development and progress. Our Vidyalayas strive to create thriving spaces where curiosity is encouraged, ideas are celebrated, and individuality is respected. By integrating progressive pedagogical practices with evolving digital resources, we aim to prepare learners for a rapidly changing global landscape while keeping them rooted in the ethos of Indianness. Education flourishes when students are inspired to think independently, collaborate harmoniously, and explore fearlessly. It is our responsibility to pass on the legacy of education to our future generations where it sets children to grow personally, professionally and socially. It can awaken joy, curiosity a deep desire to solve problems and to be self-responsible individuals. We at KVS RO Silchar, believe in inspiring and paving the way for our students to develop their inbred qualities as academic succeeders, liberal thinkers and potent communicators making them independent global citizens. The strength of KVS lies in its dedicated educators. Our teachers are lifelong learners who continuously reinvent their methods to meet the aspirations of contemporary education. Their commitment, innovation, and mentorship illuminate the path for students to dream and achieve. The spirit of the National Education Policy 2020 resonates deeply in our institutions as we endeavour to foster experiential learning, critical thinking, and holistic growth. The emphasis lies entrenched in the implementation of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy at the nascent stage of learning; promotion of multilingualism and inculcate the 21st Century skills to equip the learners to serve society at large. “With the exemplar of dynamic education, let’s take the crescent of history in our hands and build a better and safer tomorrow in new-fangled ways”. Humans have a great tenacity to rise from the ashes. Time and again we have proven so. Every single moment of success attained by our students propels us to keep moving forward. The staff of the Vidyalaya is working harder than ever to ensure that every child is cared for. Nobody can deny our children their shot at glory. Their destiny is theirs for the taking and we teachers are like bridges patiently waiting for them to cross over to a world full of challenges. The students who pass out from Kendriya Vidyalaya Tura will no doubt excel in all the fields they set their eyes on. They will be equipped with a wide array of skills and have the acumen to find solutions to the toughest of life’s puzzles. We are grateful to the support shown by the parents by giving us the opportunity to be a part of the lives of these wonderful kids. The Father of our Nation once said “Be the Change you want to be.” Let us all arise and put in our best efforts to change what needs to be changed and leave no stone unturned in transforming our lives. Let us stop pointing fingers at each other and pool in our efforts. Let us not hurt each other but communicate better to find ways to make our lives and those of others around us better. I call upon my students, their guardians, my colleagues and the wonderful people of Tura to join hands in our journey seeking wisdom and happiness.
